Victory Over Violence 5k by Cameron County and District Attorney Domestic Violence Unit

Sword & Shield donates $2,400 dollars:

        

On Friday, May 28, 2010, Cameron County and District Attorney Armando R. Villalobos and the DA's Sword and Shield Board Members make a check presentation to the Famiy Crises Center and the Friendship of Women donating $2,400 dollars.

We would like to especially thank the City of Brownsville Parks and Recreations Department for allowing us to the use Linear Park, the City of Brownsville Police Department for the escort service, State Representative Eddie Lucio III for donating water and fruit, and all other sponsors who made a contribution.

Proceeds to Benefit:

The Sword & Shield raised approximately $2,500 dollars and will benefit two local domestic violence shelters in Cameron County, the Friendship of Women and the Family Crisis Center.
